Create Your Perfect Gallery Wall

Hey there, I'm Mary and I want to discuss with you today how to style and create the perfect gallery wall in your house.

I moved to my current apartment about 8 months ago and since then I have been trying to find the right place to create my dream gallery wall but I couldn't or let me say I just didn't know where to start and what pictures I should choose for my space!

And then it came to my mind that I need to

1.Start with choosing a specific place for my gallery wall before designing it.

so I decided that I want to create a gallery wall above my bed in my master bedroom, but at the same time I really wanted to have something simple and says so much about me and my style.

Now it's time to

2. Select my favorite prints/posters.

I really wanted to make sure that my selection of prints really shows my personality or the things that I really love, And I found a huge amount of prints and posters that I felt overwhelmed and I didn't know which ones to choose as I loved so many options.

But I still wanted to design something on my own! something different but simple! something beautiful and says so much about me,So I sat down and organized my thoughts and I started with

A. Illustration: I always wanted to have one of these pictures that represents the shape of the human body in that line art gorgeous shape, so the moment I saw this print, I fell in love https://desenio.com/us/abstract-figures-no1-poster

B. Calm: As I choose to have my gallery wall in my bedroom, I wanted a simple word to represent the mood that I feel the moment I get to my bed which is Calmness https://desenio.com/us/calm-handwriting-poster

C. Greenery: If you follow me on instagram you would know that I'm a plant parent and I'm so obsessed with plants. And a big part of my week I spend taking care of my plants. And my happy place is a plant nursery, so I had to add a greenery to my gallery wall.As there are so many beautiful posters to choose from, This one took me the longest to choose until I finally went with this one https://desenio.com/us/monstera-pair-poster

D. Black&White: As my gallery wall is almost complete, I wanted to make sure to add something simple and in black&white and I found the perfect print over here https://desenio.com/us/graphic-artprints-posters

Finally I was able to make up my mind and have a final decision on my prints, then it was time to

3.Select the right size of each picture.

In order for me to do that I had to draw a sketch with the shape of my gallery wall above my bed and I had so many ideas until I choose my final design which helped me so much when it comes to choosing the right size of your prints.

So allow me to actually change the arrangement of my steps and make it

3.Draw a sketch of your gallery wall and then

4.Select the right size for each picture.

In my case I choose the illustration print to be my main and biggest picture in the size of 30x40 Cm and the three other prints I choose them in the size of 21x30 Cm.

5.Choose the colors of the frames.

As I mentioned before DESENIO has a great selection to choose from.

and finally I made my order and couple of days later I got my happy mail and oh my God I couldn't be any happier.

All the frames came individually and properly wrapped and all the prints came inside a folder that is closed from all four directions with a label

"There Is Art Inside" so cute! and everything were together in a big box shipped in front of my apartment door.

Now it's finally the time to actually style my gallery wall and hang up these beautiful pictures but there was one last step missing! which is

6.Adding the touch of paint to my wall.

Paint really does magic and I'm so glad I decided to add some magic to my wall before I add my prints, so I went ahead and I painted this color block behind my bed and after applying two coats of this gorgeous paint color, I was able to hang my pictures and have the perfect gallery wall that I always dreamed about.
